Ask Alicia - The California Endowment Team answers your questions about LCFF

  • Q. What does LCFF stand for?

    A.  LCFF stands for Local Control Funding Formula, the law passed by Governor Jerry Brown in 2013, which changes the way that California schools are funded. All school districts will receive a base grant and some districts will be eligible to receive additional supplemental and concentration funding, based on their number of students who are low-income, English language learners, or foster youth. Students who fall into more than one of these groups will only be counted once.
